Spring is one of the most delightful seasons which opens up many possibilities, especially for new parents.

However, apart from great moments, spring cleaning is an unnecessary task that includes plenty of things that every mum can be wrapped into, causing them to miss out the beauty of the season. Here, we will give you some tips to make cleaning this spring easier for you, so you have more time to concentrate on more important things.

When it comes to your home, the best you can do is to make a schedule, so you keep focused on each task properly. Think what areas of your house need the most cleaning. Usually, these are parts which are skipped during routine cleaning, so we suggest you start with these areas. And, no matter where you start, make sure that you clean it from the ceiling down. This way, dust and debris will be forced downward, so you do not need to clean certain areas again. Make sure that you move your furniture too.

Also, while organising your wardrobes, drawers, office rooms and even your baby’s clothes and toys, do not hesitate to get rid of all the things that are not usually used and that only add to your stress levels.

One of the first things that comes to people’s mind when they think of spring cleaning are floors and windows. But, do not forget about your walls as a lot of dust settles on them as well. A steam cleaner is the easiest and quickest way to clean the actual windows, while for the walls and window screens, we suggest a dump towel. When it comes to cleaning products, for your safety, and more importantly, your baby’s health and safety, we recommend products that are gentle on the environment.

Also, this spring, as a new parent, you will need to add new tasks to your cleaning checklist. Go through your baby’s clothing and put away pieces that will not be worn again. Use a disinfectant cleaner to wipe down all toys and play surfaces. Check out bottles and nipples and get rid of the worn out ones. Turn the nappy bag inside out to toss away all collected crumbs and restock it only with essentials. Do not forget to hose down each corner of your baby’s high chair. Spring is also a good time to give your baby’s car seat a deep cleaning as well as wash your car’s fabric coverings.

With a new baby, spring cleaning can be hectic and overwhelming, and, if you do not want to deal with it, you may consider getting help during this time as there are many professional cleaning companies that will do the work for you quickly and efficiently, letting you to enjoy precious moments with your baby.
